Project Bucephalus

Project Bucephalus is a robotics group that has been representing FIRST® in Wollongong since 2010. Named after the warhorse of Alexander the Great, Project Bucephalus competes in the FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Robotics Competition. The group has many years of experience running LEGO® robotics activities for children and adults.

Past Events

  • Project Bucephalus is holding a series of workshop visits for students interested in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). The sessions are aimed at students in years 6-10 with an interest in STEM, writing, videography, photography, business, management or graphic design! Interested students (and their families!) are invited to visit the team workshop during the current season to see what's involved in taking part. New students would join the team in late 2021.

Students use LEGO MINDSTORMS technology to in a series of challenges and games designed to pass on critical STEM skills: computer programming, engineering, robotics, and more! The Mt Ousley Class runs at the Elonera Montessori School (EMS) and is designed for students aged 7+.
