Project Bucephalus

Project Bucephalus is a robotics group that has been representing FIRST® in Wollongong since 2010. Named after the warhorse of Alexander the Great, Project Bucephalus competes in the FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Robotics Competition. The group has many years of experience running LEGO® robotics activities for children and adults.

  • Between Friday 12 February 2021 and Friday 25 June 2021
    Rocketing Girls Into Robotics is a FREE program to launch Illawarra girls into STEM! Taught by the experienced members of Project Bucephalus, the program will seek to engage girls from Year 3 to Year 8. The program will run for 2 terms in 2020. All equipment will be supplied. Ideally, students should be nominated through their school. However, general enquiries can be directed to coach@projectb.net.au.

    Robo Camp is a two-day LEGO® Robotics workshop that caters to students of all skill levels. “Introduction to Robotics” is designed for novice students, whilst our Advanced courses are designed for those wanting a more complicated challenge. Project Bucephalus has been running robotics programs for children and adults since 2011. We offer an exciting program that builds interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in unique ways!

Students use LEGO MINDSTORMS technology to in a series of challenges and games designed to pass on critical STEM skills: computer programming, engineering, robotics, and more! The Mt Ousley Class runs at the Elonera Montessori School (EMS) and is designed for students aged 7+.

Students use LEGO MINDSTORMS technology to in a series of challenges and games designed to pass on critical STEM skills: computer programming, engineering, robotics, and more! The Shellharbour Class runs at the City Library (Shellharbour City Centre) and is designed for students aged 7+.

The Nowra Class runs at the Shoalhaven Campus (UOW) and is designed for students aged 7+. Students 11+ should enquire about Master Class. If enough interest we will state this class.
