Make Your Own: Produce Bags

Saturday 23 July 2022
Get involved in plastic free July by making your own set of reusable bags. Using reclaimed fabrics and fibres, participants will learn basic sewing skills to design and make their own bags to take home that can be used next time

Basket Making For Beginners

Between Friday 3 June 2022 and Friday 22 July 2022
Join artist, maker, ecologist and science communicator, Bindi, for this skill sharing workshop into coiled basket making. Participants will learn the basics of processing non-native plants into usable fibres, and by using natural and reclaimed fibres, start making a basket to take home.

Make Your Own: Sensory Board

Explore the senses of sight, sound and touch by selecting a variety of reclaimed materials to attach to an individual or group designed board. This workshop is aimed at encouraging curiosity, investigation and tactile development while learning about different types of materials that end up as waste. A great family based activity for all ages.

Discover Nature's Recyclers

Between Friday 22 April 2022 and Tuesday 12 July 2022
Let us introduce the world of decomposers and how the Resource Tip Shop helps reduce waste that nature’s recyclers cannot. By the end of this activity children will use reclaimed materials to make their own decomposer to take home. Ages 5 yrs +.

Play and Create

Between Friday 29 April 2022 and Monday 11 July 2022
Join Recycle Create Play and make musical instruments from everyday objects that would otherwise end up in waste while learning about recycling and the art of music. Children will make musical instrument to take home, and get to finish this activity with a tip shop jam session. Suitable for ages 5 – 10 yrs. BYO 1 x 1.25 litre plastic soft drink bottle with a lid.

Introduction to Upholstery
