If you are looking to work in the hospitality industry, getting your RSA gives you the flexibility to work in a variety of different venues including clubs, bars, restaurants, bottle shops, events and festivals.
RSA training is mandatory for licensees and staff who are selling, offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licences.
Coursework and Assessment
This course is a competency-based training program and is assessment is made up of multiple choice and written answer quizzes and practical demonstration of skills.

- State or Territory liquor legislation
- Definitions and Key provisions & RSA principles
- Packaged liquor and Licensing requirements
- Acceptable proof of age ID
- Information on the responsible sale or service of alcohol

SASY Stepping Out x Parents/Carers Night

After much request, we are hosting an evening that combines some of our school leavers/graudates from our Stepping Out program and parents/carers of current SASY students. Our leavers/grads will share their experiences of SASY, their learnings and journeys and SASY parents/carers will have the opportunity to meet, chat and ask questions. The aim is to provide parents/carers with insight into their young person's journey, emphasising that there will be highs, lows and plateaus and leave with a sense of validation and security that they're not alone!

Join us for a parent/carer workshop and take an in-depth look at non-suicidal self-harm in young people. This session will cover how and why young people self-injure along with ways to approach and support the young person who is self harming, and will be co-facilitated by Dr Joseph Magliaro from Edward Street Psychology.

Creating connections: partnerships with young people

After requests from the sector and a motivation to respond to the State’s Graham Inquiry, SASY will be offering a calendar of exceptional professional development for staff working in the youth sector.
The first session is a passion of ours; relationships. This session will cover the importance of, and tools to having authentic relationships with young people, trauma recovery and mindfulness. Keynote speakers are Louka Parry, John Oliphant and Vanessa Landsdown (Smiling Mind).
