Steel City Strings
Steel City Strings is a classical string orchestra showcasing talented professional musicians from the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Highlands regions.
Winner of the 2019 APRA/AMCOS Art Music award for Excellence in a Region and Commitment to performing Australian Music. With the film 'The Passion of Music' made about them, the orchestra is continuing to capture attention, praise and publicity.

It will see a combination of complete orchestra works such as Warlock's 'Capriol Suite', trios, quartets and various solo performances from our principal and associate artists. It is a great honour for our region to premiere this work, which was commissioned by a local philanthropist specifically to be presented in our region by Steel City Strings.
