The Semaphore Music Festival 2020 Opening Night Friday 2 October at the Semaphore Workers Club doors open 7.00pm; Saturday Night Live doors open 7.30pm on 3 October, and Closing Night Party Sunday 4 October from 7.30pm to 12 midnight. There will be two day time concerts in the Big Back Yard of the Cumberland Hotel on Saturday and Sunday, gates open 2pm close 8pm. The Beach Blanket Recovery Picnic on Monday on the Foreshore Reserve near the Carousel starts at 12 noon to 3pm.

Down by the River launch pays tribute to UNESCO Year of Indigenous Languages
The inaugural Down by the River project acknowledges the diversity of Indigenous Australian languages with a concert launching the program presented by Semaphore Music Festival 2019 during Umbrella: Winter City Sounds. Down by the River launch features prominent Indigenous singer songwriters Frank Yamma, Vonda Last, and Corey Theatre in a performance that celebrates UNESCO Year of Indigenous Languages.
