This two day program introduces SimMan 3G PLUS to user of the Alfred Simulation Centre. This course is limited to users of the Simulation Centre.

This two day course will give you a basic understanding of simulation education, the skills to create a safe learning environment and supports the development of your teaching in a simulated clinical setting. Many of the skills obtained are also transferable to teaching in clinical settings. This course is accredited for EMAC instructors by the ANZCA.

This workshop covers NHET-Sim Modules S9: Debriefing in simulation and Module S10: Developing scenario. S9: Debriefing in simulation. Debriefing during simulation is a crucial aspect, allowing individuals to reflect on their practices. During the workshop, participants will revisit information from Module C2 regarding effective debriefing practices and explore the conditions necessary for success. Attendees will have the chance to share their experiences and receive feedback on their debriefing, as well as practice using different techniques to further develop their skills and set goals for improvement. S10: Developing scenarios. Scenarios are a fundamental part of simulation-based education and require careful planning to enable the simulation to meet required learning outcomes. This workshop looks at the elements of well-crafted scenarios, approaches to documenting scenarios, and strategies to crafting and improving scenario writing for healthcare simulation experiences.
