The Sutherland Shire Choral Society has been bringing beautiful choral music to the Shire for over 50 years. We usually perform three concerts every year, two more serious in style and one light-hearted. Where the repertoire calls for it, we engage the services of professional instrumentalists and/or soloists as well as piano or organ to accompany us.

Majestic choral music for Royal occasions inspired by crowns and coronations, featuring Handel's Coronation Anthems and works by Rutter and Whitacre.
We will be accompanied by a Baroque chamber ensemble on period instruments - Concertmaster Matthew Greco (courtesy Australian Brandenburg Orchestra).
There will be no interval. Tea and coffee will be available after the concert.

Inspired by light, stillness, and new beginnings, Sunrise brings together some of the most evocative contemporary choral works of our time. From radiant harmonies to moments of quiet reflection, this programme explores the beauty of sound as it awakens, unfolds, and glows.
Featuring the choral music of Gjeilo, Lauridsen, Whitacre and Ešenvalds. Accompanied by Noortje Tromp on piano and Robert Smith on violin.
There will be no interval. Tea and coffee will be available after the concert, for a gold coin donation.

Haydn’s powerful “Nelson Mass” takes centre stage in a concert evoking the drama and spirit of Napoleon’s Europe. With music by Beethoven and Méhul, this stirring program brings to life an era of revolution and grandeur. To add to the occasion, we will be joined by four soloists and an orchestra.
Running time approx 90 minutes, so there will be no interval. Tea and coffee will be available afterwards.
