St Michael's Aquatics - Deck Coat
St Michael's Aquatics - Deck Coat St Michael’s Grammar School Aquatics is pleased to offer swimmers the opportunity to purchase a navy blue club deck coat. The Vorgee Deck Coat is a high quality garment, made from a durable waterproof material with a fleece lining. It is designed to keep swimmers warm around their events and the quick dash from or to the car before or after training. These deck coats are also available to parents and coaches to purchase. The coat features toggle drawstring hood, two way front zipper and easy snap lock buttons and ample pocket space, with two outer zip pockets and two inner Velcro pockets. This first initial order window will be available until Friday 15 December. Cost $120 per jacket with SMGS Crest printed on the front and St Michael’s Grammar School Aquatics printed on the back as attached (retail for $169. SMGS Aquatics - SwimFit for Adults - Term 3, 2025

SwimFit for Adults - T3 2025
Adult age swimmers only (no-school age or student participants) This group is for adults who are looking to build and maintain their fitness in a social and friendly environment. Sessions will be planned and delivered by one of the club’s friendly coaches. The group will swim on Monday & Wednesday nights from 7:15 - 8:30pm during the school term. For an affordable cost of $140.00 per-term ($14 per week ($7.00 per session)) or for $90.00 for ten-sessions ($9.00 per session). These must be used in the same term as purchased. You will get access to our indoor 6 lane heated swimming pool facilities and coaching twice a week. Mondays: First Session: Monday 28 April, Last Session: Monday 23 June. No session on Monday 9 June (King's Birthday). Wednesdays: First Session: Wednesday 23 April. Last Session Wednesday 25 June.

SMGS Winter Academy - Buying a First Car (Years 9-12)

Your first car is so much more than just a mode of transport; it represents freedom and responsibility, a safe space all to yourself, and for some their passion and a hobby. Regardless of what car you end up behind the wheel of, a motor vehicle represents a significant outlay and ongoing cost for any young person; it's usually their first big purchase in life. The last thing you want is to save up and buy a car that turns out to be unreliable, unsafe, damaged, or simply not what you really needed/wanted! This workshop is intended to provide young people with the skills and knowledge needed to identify and purchase a suitable first car. By the end of this workshop, participants will have also gained some valuable transferrable life skills (e.g. in managing and leading conversation). Term 2, 2025 Intro to Pattern + Printmaking (Years P-6)

Dive into the vibrant world of printmaking in this fun and interactive workshop which introduces simple and satisfying printmaking techniques using foam, stamps, natural materials, lego printing, lino printing and stencils. Young people will experiment with colour, pattern, and texture as they design and print their own artworks onto paper. They'll learn the basics of layering, composition, and repetition – all while exploring their creative voice. The workshop culminates in an exciting final project: transferring their unique designs onto a tote bag using a Cricut laser cutter and heat press. Each participant will walk away with a personalised, wearable piece of art and a stack of one-of-a-kind prints. Term 2, 2025 Masterpiece in a Day Holiday Camp (Years P-6)

Young artists are will experience the joy of slowing down, looking closely, and bringing everyday objects to life in this colourful still life painting workshop. Inspired by the classic art of observation, ‘A Creative Canvas’ gives young people a chance to explore their creativity through drawing, painting, and mindful looking. We’ll kick off the day with fun warm-up games, sketching activities and colour experiments before moving into building a real still life scene using objects, flowers and fruit and paint confidently on canvas using acrylics. Alongside guided instruction from experienced artists, participants will have time for open-ended exploration and creative freedom. In this individualised tuition winter academy program, students can catch up, keep up or be challenged to reach their full potential. Over 3 days, students will complete 6 online 1:1 tutoring sessions, paired with brain breaks and outdoor time to keep them energised and focused. The content has been developed by experienced educators and will be delivered by local Australian tutors using an online interactive learning platform with plenty of guided demonstrations, discussions, reflections, and practice assessments to track progress. SwimFit for Adults - T2 2025
Adult age swimmers only (no-school age or student participants) This group is for adults who are looking to build and maintain their fitness in a social and friendly environment. Sessions will be planned and delivered by one of the club’s friendly coaches. The group will swim on Monday & Wednesday nights from 7:15 - 8:30pm during the school term. For an affordable cost of $140.00 per-term ($14 per week ($7.00 per session)) or for $90.00 for ten-sessions ($9.00 per session). These must be used in the same term as purchased. You will get access to our indoor 6 lane heated swimming pool facilities and coaching twice a week. Mondays: First Session: Monday 28 April, Last Session: Monday 23 June. No session on Monday 9 June (King's Birthday). Wednesdays: First Session: Wednesday 23 April. Last Session Wednesday 25 June.

The RSA for Schools specialise in providing quality onsite training for secondary schools, in age appropriate, familiar, and supervised environments that build confidence in emerging adults. During this course you will learn about the benefits of Responsible Service of Alcohol strategies in preventing intoxication. You will gain hands on experience with pouring, along with insights into advertising & promotional standards and the best and worst ways to refuse service of alcohol or ask for secondary supply of I.D. If you are looking to introduce your child to the world of coding, this is the perfect place to start. Students will learn the foundational concepts of coding with a teacher-led project, building a video game using your child's choice of a selection of Pokémon, Minecraft, Avenger, Barbie, Frozen, Harry Potter and Sonic characters. Junior coders will work on the Scratch Coding Platform, and will be able to save their work to a USB memory stick (not provided) to show parents their progress. St Michael's Aquatics - Snorkel Purchase Dear Parents, As members of St Michael’s Grammar School Aquatics, we ask that all swimmers have their own snorkel to use at training. While equipment is provided by the swimming club, due to hygienic reasons, we are unable to provide snorkels. To assist in making sure all swimmers have a snorkel to use at training, we have been able to organise for swimmers to purchase. Snorkels can be purchased through the club for $35 (RRP $43.99) and come in Black or Pink. If you would like to make use of this offer, please complete the TryBooking order below. Orders need to be placed by Friday 23 June so we can have them ready for the start of Term 3. Term 3, 2023 - St Michael's Aquatics - Workshop #1: Diving This workshop is open to all swimmers in Aquastars’ Junior Squad and Squad programs as well as all members of SMGS Aquatics Swimming Club. The focus of this first workshop is to work with swimmers on the progressions relating to completing a racing dive, working from the basics of a sitting dive through to some of the more challenging drills and skills used to develop race dives. There are 4 different sessions being run over the course of the afternoon. Each session will be capped to 10 swimmers to ensure that swimmers can get the most out of the session. The cost of the session is $10 per swimmer. Sessions will be run by Hamish Meachem - Head Coach, St Michael’s Grammar School Aquatics.
