Choose Your Own Adventure | Autumn School Holiday Workshop

Join 100 Story Building for a very special Choose Your Own Adventure zine making workshop at Balam Balam Place in Brunswick.
Young people aged 8-12 will love creating new worlds and setting off on an adventure with endless possibilities in our zine making workshop.
Ever wondered what would happen if a character in a book went through a different door? Using branching storylines, young writers create a Choose Your Own Adventure story with one beginning and four endings!
Guided by 100 Story Building expert facilitators, children will spend the day discovering story making techniques, creative decision making and will leave with their very own zine artefact.

Trilogy - Creative Summer Quest

Are you 8-12 years old? Want to experience a summer program designed and led by kids?
100 Story Building’s Futuremakers (our youth advisory group) invites you to a one-of-a-kind creative adventure - TRILOGY Creative Summer Quest.
Over three full days, we’ll dive into imagination challenges, work together to dream up stories and plotlines, and bring the ideas to life at 100 Story Building.
In TRILOGY, you’ll get the chance to collaborate with the young leaders of 100 Story Building, other creative participants, and a few special guests. Plus you'll liven up your summer holidays with a cool collaborative arts experience.

This special ‘Sparking Creativity’ event has been designed for our donors and supporters to experience the magic of 100 Story Building, enhance creative skills and ignite a joy of writing and story-making.

Early Harvest Book Launch: Two-faced Tales

This November, we're launching a collection of stunning survival and brilliant betrayal stories written by young Australian authors!
Two-faced Tales is the thirteenth book created through 100 Story Building’s Early Harvest youth publishing program - an annual initiative that produces AUSTRALIA’S ONLY publication edited, illustrated and written by kids, for kids. This edition also features an original story by bestselling author Alice Pung.
Join 100 Story Building for a FREE book launch event of the latest edition of Early Harvest. Hosted by the 16 young editors who created the book, the afternoon will be an interactive storytelling celebration. Participants will be immersed in a whirlwind of creative experiences, including stories, games, activities and more!

100 Story Spring Holiday Program 2024
Between Tuesday 1 October 2024 and Wednesday 2 October 2024
Join 100 Story Building for two adventurous days of creative storytelling workshops, from oral storytelling to poetic writing.
Day 1 (1 October): Campfire Cliffhangers - explore the mysterious "Camp Cliffhanger", an imaginary camp in the woods, through writing exercises and storytelling games. Then share your ideas around the (imaginary) campfire as a recorded audio story.
Day 2 (2 October): Poetic Adventures - play with words, learn poetic devices, make awesome collages and grow these wild ideas into a miniature verse novel. Fill your own booklet with creative poetic adventures.

On Saturday the 4th May, the 100 Story Building team, Board, and a band of young Futuremakers will throw open the doors and invite our community of fellow story champions to celebrate a new chapter, new levels, and new programs dedicated to young peoples’ stories.
