West Coast Blues Bash 2025

Sunday 5 October 2025
After a sold out show last year, the event returns for 2025 with Adelaide blues favourites The Honey Badgers and local legends Sugarfoot in a 6 piece format with horns! The Honey Badgers have been pretty busy in the last few years. In 2023 they made the grand final of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee and became one of only two Australian bands at that time to have done so. Last year, the debut album, Shakin’ was released after being recorded over a three-year period and showcased the band’s development from SA southern vales favourites to an international level powerhouse that wowed the judges in the home of Stax Records, Sun Studios and the hallowed ground of the Beale Street clubs. Shakin’ peaked at #1 on the national blues charts and continued to chart for 9 months in 2024, and the same year the boys won the MusicSA award for people’s choice in blues and roots category.

Frank Sultana / The Honey Badgers at Semaphore Workers

Sunday 18 February 2024
Dripping with pre WW2 mojo, dark, dirty guitar tones and a voice that has the grit and soul of the characters and places he writes and sings about, Frank Sultana is a modern-dey blues man - In one breath, his songs are dark and dirty, joyous and hopeful. In January 2023, among a field of 150 artists from around the world, Frank competed in and won the solo/duo section of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee. He is only the third Australian to do so in the events 38-year history. During that same week in Memphis, local favourites, The Honey Badgers also made the final in the band section, only the second Australian band in the history of the competition to do so. Frank and the Badgers teamed up last year to rave reviews. Here is your chance to see another show with a twist, including the Badgers backing Frank on some of his tunes.
