Work Aware offers the Appropriate Workplace Behaviour workshop to equip employees, managers, HR personnel and business owners with the tools to prevent and appropriately respond to sexual harassment within the current legal framework. The workshop aims to help employees understand behaviours that are appropriate and inappropriate, and the steps people can take if they are directly affected by sexual harassment.

Putting Prevention of Violence Against Women into Practice

Work Aware is an endorsed provider of Our Watch training packages. Putting Prevention of Violence Against Women into Practice is a one-day course for organisations wanting to lead change in the community and is based on Change the Story, Australia's national framework to prevent violence against women and their children. The course increases the skills, knowledge and confidence of new and emerging primary prevention practitioners to undertake prevention activities and runs from 9-4:30.

Managing Domestic and Family Violence in the Workplace (NTG)

Thursday 4 April 2019
This 3 hr workshop is targeted to managers, supervisors and HR personnel and covers: - Intro to Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) - Impacts of DFV on the workplace - Skills and tools (NTPS Entitlements, Confidentiality, Safety Planning, etc) - Practical application via case study discussion Trigger warning: A 5 min video is shown of women sharing their personal experiences of DFV. Whilst not graphic, it can be confronting. It is played 30-45 mins from the workshop beginning.
