Marieke Rodenstein is a Holistic Dietitian, Nutritionist and Functional Medicine Practitioner with with almost 20 years of experience in her field. Chris Alenson is an agricultural consultant with qualifications in sustainable agriculture (majoring in soils) with over 30 years of practical experience. Both presenters will focus on the links between our farm management practices and the nutrition of the food we produce, which ultimately impacts on our physical and mental health.

Dung beetle workshop - Dr Russ Barrow at Bunyip

Dr Russ Barrow is a researcher from Charles Sturt University and the ‘Dung Beetles Ecosystems Engineers’ project. Russ will talk about: benefits of beetles, beetles found in Gippsland, beetle ID, how to live capture and relocate. Several local farmers will talk about their experiences in setting up dung beetle nurseries on their farms for breeding purposes (including new species released in Australia) and why they are doing this.
