Kwabo means welcome in my mother tongue and for me it means I see you, you matter and you fit in. Thus Kwabo Events invites individuals from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, abilities, experiences, and levels to join Kwabo Festival Performance Night.
Thank you for joining us as we celebrate 9 weeks of artist led incubator program created for BIPOC individuals to share their traditions, stories and life experiences through arts. 9 weeks of cultural exchange, emotional rollercaster, artist mentorship and above all.. GENIUINE CONNECTION, COMMUNITY AND LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

The first edition was celebrated on the International Day for Peace 2018. Such a beautiful coincidence... Actually, I don't believe in them, it was meant to be!!!!! Learn more about how it all started here
ABOUT THE ORGANISER
If you know a little about me Gracieuse also known as Kwabo Grace or Grace, you will know how much organising such programs and events throughout the year represents for me in my pursuit to provide platforms for BIPOC voices to be heard and seen. Creating meaningful shared experiences fused by representation, intercultural dialogue and positives vibes is my life mission.
For those joining us for the first time, I will introduce myself and my life mission shortly. Among other things, I am the Founder and Creative Director of Kwabo Events, a social entreprise promoting individuals' holistic wellbeing and growth through the arts and African Dance culture, practice and philosophy. My courses and programs are unique as they focus on supporting individuals to enhance their artistic skills, their connections to culture and emotional intelligence skills which translate in every aspect of their lives. This event is produced by Kwabo Events in collaboration with Cypher Culture and MAV and is supported by the City of Melbourne through the Community Use of Town Hall Grants.
