March Wellbeing Morning Tea

Footwear - A podiatrist’ perspective A practical, step-by-step guide to selecting walking shoes Merilee Symons has been practising Podiatry in the Cremorne and Neutral Bay area for the past thirty years. Through her years of practice she has been unfortunately reminded of the impact a fall has on a patients’ life. Falls happen for many reasons. Reducing the risk of an ‘accidental’ fall is possible by considering shoes as one of the risk factors. What we put on our feet matters! Even the ‘sensible’ shoe may be the impedance of a fall. On Monday March 27th Merilee will be conducting an informal, hands-on educational session to explain and demonstrate a step-by-step guide on how to choose walking shoes. Attendees will be extended the opportunity to attend her podiatry clinic in Neutral Bay to reinforce and/or review their footwear. Attendees, please bring or wear your walking shoes.
