🏫 Queensland Academies Creative Industries (QACI) 👉 Independent selective entry state high school 🎓 IB Diploma Programme 👫 Co-ed Years 10-12 🌏 Brisbane | Meanjin Discover QACI's world-class facilities in our purpose-built seven-storey vertical school located in the heart of Kelvin Grove. Please arrive at least ten minutes prior to the commencement of your tour. The tour will depart from the main foyer on Level 2 at the scheduled booking time. Please enter the building via our main entrance at 61 Musk Avenue, Kelvin Grove. While parking is not available on site, ample street parking is located in the Kelvin Grove Urban Village precinct. As tour numbers are restricted, we ask that you please cancel your booking if you are unable to attend so that your space/s can be made available to others.

Join us for a Night of Cinematic Splendour! If you are a film enthusiast and lover of film – it's time to roll out the red carpet for our Year 12 Film students for Cinematica 2025! With an array of films, spanning genres and styles and with influences from multiple movements, from heart-pounding thrillers to heartwarming dramas, laugh-out-loud comedies and everything in between, this is a night to celebrate the masters behind the scenes. We all know that films are not just about what happens on the screen; they are a celebration of the brilliant minds and dedicated talents that make it all possible. From visionary directors to gifted writers, skilled cinematographers to ingenious editors and sound designers, and the passionate actors who bring characters to life – we salute them all! Tickets are complimentary however booked within a limited context of availability.

Grimm's Tales - Year 10 Theatre Production

Step into the Dark Magic of Grimm’s Tales Queensland Academies Creative Industries proudly presents its Year 10 Theatre Production of Grimm’s Tales, translated by Carol Ann Duffy and dramatised by Tim Supple. This visually stunning and highly theatrical production brings the Brothers Grimm’s classic stories to life in bold and imaginative ways. Directed by Theatre Teachers Laura Hague and Brad Jennings and performed by a talented ensemble of Year 10 Theatre students, the show promises a thrilling journey through the twisted forests, strange encounters, and hauntingly beautiful worlds of these timeless tales. Don’t miss this chance to experience a reimagined collection of fairy tales like you’ve never seen them before—dark, dazzling, and utterly unforgettable. Refreshments in the Level 2 Foyer prior to the performance - 5:45pm - 6:30pm.

Absurd Theatre: Windmills In My Mind

"Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel, never ending or beginning on an ever-spinning reel.” Noel Harrison. Windmills in my Mind is a showcase of Year 11 Theatre students’ exploration into existentialism and Theatre of the Absurd. Forming part of the students’ enquiry into collaborative theatre-making, this public performance is the result of a 6-week creative development process where students have devised original productions, inspired by a starting point. This strictly limited season will be staged in-the-round in the QACI Theatre Studio. Through unexpected twists and inventive narrative structures, Theatre of the Absurd challenges you to question assumptions and reflect on the complexities of the human experience. The performance features 7 original pieces and runs for approximately 90 minutes. Considerations: Shows may contain adult themes, theatrical haze and strobe lighting.
