FACETS Fatigue Management Programs 2024
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Fatigue can be limiting for people living with MS, and it’s hard to find specific fatigue management strategies designed specifically for living with MS.
FACETS (Fatigue: Applying Cognitive behavioural and Energy Effectiveness Techniques to LifeStyle) is an evidence-based group program for people living with multiple sclerosis.
It’s designed to help you learn to manage your fatigue.
The FACETS program incorporates ‘energy effectiveness’ techniques and ways to maximise your energy, – as well as cognitive behavioural strategies, and helpful ways of thinking about fatigue. The program was developed in the United Kingdom by researchers from Bournemouth University and clinical staff from Poole Hospital.
Our facilitators have been trained in delivering the FACETS program, and this consists of six online sessions in groups of 8–12 people held weekly. The cost is $80, and you may be able to use NDIS funding for this program.
To access this program, you must be:
-
a registered client with MS Plus
-
have a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis
-
be able to commit to attending each session per week
Once you have registered your expression of interest, the FACETS group facilitator will be in contact with you to discuss the FACETS program, and your suitability for the program.
As the groups are limited in size, we have a list of interested people to be contacted for future FACETS programs.
