Sponsors and supporters would like to invite Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Gold Coast, Launceston, Melbourne, Perth, and Wollongong High School students (years 10 - 12) to compete in PECAN+2023 CTF.
PECAN+CTF offers a series of beginner, intermediate and advanced challenges for people to complete over the course of a day. We also offer a fun training day to help people understand how to use cyber tools, virtual boxes, Kali Linux and ethical hacking.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place getters and girls are strongly encouraged to register with prizes for top-scoring female teams.
Students can bring in their own laptops with VMs and tools already installed. Each location has university desktop computers to use.
Cost: Free.
Registrations open: 1st June until 28th June with T-shirt orders closing 18th June
When: August 5th and 6th (Saturday and Sunday )
Time: Perth 8 am - 2:00 pm
Day one - a training day for beginner and intermediate students only
Industry presentations will be held after lunch - theme - 'The one that didn't get away'.
Day two is the competition day - Wishing you all the best!
The presentation of prizes will be from 2:30 pm - with an ASD speaker, Tesserent, City of Joondalup, JTSI, and Yira Yakiny presenting prizes

The rules are simple:
You accept the offer to compete in Pecan+23 CTF at the Edith Cowan University (ECU), Joondalup Campus, and understand that you will be required to adhere to the rules and reasonable instructions of the ECU Students and Staff whilst on campus and during the event on August 5th and 6th. Furthermore, you acknowledge that you are aware of ethical hacking practices and understand that there are legal ramifications for the misuse of these. Failure to adhere to the rules and regulations will see you exited from the competition and sent home.
