Curious about the interred occupants of the Melbourne General Cemetery? You will be amazed at some of the stories our local historian has to share on this incredible tour, presented in conjunction with The National Trust Australian Heritage Week.Join local historian and author, Jeff Atkinson from the Carlton Community History Group on a walking tour through this iconic and historic cemetery as he shares stories about the fascinating characters buried there.
An easy-paced walk on mostly flat ground, however, sensible shoes are recommended for some uneven surfaces, as well as a hat, and water. This is an outdoor event, so dress for the weather. Please arrive at the meeting place (PHCC) 10 - 15 minutes beforehand so we can leave together in a timely fashion.
