Calling all superheroes!
In celebration of National Superhero Day, come to this special event dressed as your favourite superhero or princess if you wish.
‘Redland City Beginners Band’, under the direction of David Wellman, and intermediate Wind Ensemble Band conducted by Ms Louise McGill, will provide a “super” program of themed music from Superhero and animation films such as the Dark Knight (Batman), Superman, Marvel's The Avengers, Let it Go from Frozen and Funky Town from Shrek just to name a few.Children (and mums and dads) can dance along to some big movie hits which everyone love and recognise.
Why not bring along a picnic and blanket to enjoy the day while you sit in the shade under the marquees, or you can bask in the sun if you wish?
Children can have fun following the “Red Soil of the Redlands Trail” around the Museum, find the flags and complete a quiz. Old fashioned games such as quoits, elastics, skipping, dominoes, skittles, horseshoe ringers and hoola hoops will keep the kids entertained. Children will be able to draw their favourite superhero and princess characters at the craft table.
The idea behind Superhero Day is to honour those who serve and protect while fighting evil. No matter who your favourite hero is, honouring the real or fictional people that inspire us is a worthwhile endeavour.
45 minute concert performance, followed by Games and Museum Trail
Cost: Children $5.00 | Concession $8.00 | Adults $10.00
* All children must be accompanied by an adult for all activities.
Ticket incudes general entry to the Museum.
