We invite you to explore the natural beauty of kunanyi/Mt Wellington on this guided walk designed for nature-loving adults.
Following the Organ Pipes, Hunters, and Lenah Valley Tracks, this 10.5 km walk is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of kunanyi/Mt Wellington and its diverse ecosystems.
As you hike along the trail, you'll encounter fascinating geological formations, such as the towering dolerite columns of the Organ Pipes and unique plant and animal species. With our experienced guide, Jaymee leading the way and providing insights into the area's history, culture, and natural environment, this tour offers an enriching learning opportunity for all.
This walk is a moderate fitness challenge with some steep sections, narrow pathways, and rocky terrain.
One of the highlights of this trail is the chance to visit the Octopus Tree, a unique and majestic giant Eucalyptus that has become a symbol of resilience and strength.

Cost - $20 per adult. (Young adults 16+ are welcome to attend with a parent/guardian)
What you’ll need to bring:

Comfortable and sturdy walking shoes or boots: The terrain can be uneven, and it's important to have good traction and support to avoid slips and falls.

Weather-appropriate clothing: Even in autumn, temperatures can be cool, and weather conditions can change quickly. Bring layers, including a warm jacket, hat, and gloves.

Waterproof jacket or poncho: Rain gear is recommended for all extended walks.

Sun protection: Even on overcast days, the UV rays can be strong at higher elevations.

Water, lunch, and snacks: It's important to stay hydrated and fueled during your walk. Bring plenty of water (min 2L) and snacks.

Personal medication: If you are required to take any medication on a regular basis, it is important to ensure that you have enough supply to last throughout your walk. (Please make our guide aware of any serious health concerns)

Camera or binoculars: If you're interested in photography or birdwatching, consider bringing a camera or binoculars to capture the scenery and wildlife.
