Basic Handbuilding Techniques

About
This class is for those of you who would like to confidently participate in the Pottery Club with some basic handbuilding skills behind you, or you'd simply like to learn some basic skills to create with clay at home.In this lesson you will learn how to make a mug/teacup, as well as a plate/saucer. We all work at the same pace and enjoy the therapeutic process together.
Please consider this lesson as an introduction to the Pottery Club if you are a beginner, it will help make your transition more comfortable.
The class runs for 3hrs and includes firing and glazing of two pieces (gas kiln firing).
If you are a regular attendee of the Pottery Club, when your pieces have been bisqued (first fire) there will be an opportunity for you to glaze your own pieces.
I look forward to introducing you to handbuilding and seeing your special pieces be brought to life!
