About
For the past 30 years Ian Hyman, friends and business colleagues have been raising money for charities that support people with intellectual disabilities. The annual lunch is well known in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne for being a ‘Sportman’s Lunch’ and has traditionally been able to garner the support of Rugby Union, Rugby League, AFL and Cricket legends as well as many of Australia’s highest profile politicians.Ian and his committees have raised well over $15 million for organisations supporting people with disability over the past 30 years through over 100 events.
The selected beneficiating charities – Inala and CNS Precision Assembly – provide a diverse range of these critical services including long-term accommodation, supported employment programs, transition to work programs, day respite care and community care programs, equine therapy and much more for some 1500 adults and children living with a disability.
