To acknowledge 25 years of Reconciliation in Nillumbik, the Nillumbik Reconciliation Group warmly invites our community to come together in celebration.In May 1998, together we walked along the Main Road in Eltham to gather at Wingrove Park making a commitment to Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. A formal document of Acknowledgement, Apology and Commitment was present by Nillumbik Council to Wurundjeri Elders.
Living on Wurundjeri Land our community continues to stand with Aboriginal People. Join us for a Smoking Ceremony and performances by Djirri Djirri dancers, Scott Darlow and Eltham High School.
