Carole King, James Taylor and The Carpenters

ABOUT
CAROLE KING - is one of the most prolific singer/songwriters of our time. The ‘Baby Boomer’ generation fell in love with her melodies and chord structures that seemed to touch the heartstrings of us all and with lyrics that simply expressed our feelings.
Nikki Nicholls performs all your favourite Carole songs from Tapestry such as I Feel the Earth Move, It’s Too Late, Beautiful, Way Over Yonder etc. and those written for other famous acts The Drifters, Blood Sweat & Tears, The Beatles and more.
JAMES TAYLOR is still to this very day one of Carole’s dearest friends and you’ll hear the story of how they first got together with Up on the Roof, Handy Man, Steamroller Blues …
AND that’s not all … Songs of THE CARPENTERS will be presented by Ruth Templer. All those beautiful songs including We’ve Only Just Begun, Rainy Days and Mondays, Top of the World, Yesterday Once More and the list goes on.
Karen and Richard Carpenter, a brother and sister duo originally from Connecticut, were one of the top selling musical acts of the 1970’s. Outwardly, they looked like they had it all. The clean-cut, all American girl and boy next door living the ultimate dream, but sadly over the years, they both struggled with inner demons.
This show is not to be missed. It will transport you back to the carefree days with the soundtrack of our lives.
