Lismore Theatre company is delighted to present this Classic Australian play, first published in 1995 but still relevant today.“Dead White Males” by David Williamson is a satirical comedy that explores what it means to be truly human and how human nature is defined through literature and post-modern ideologies. 19-year-old Angela, a university student who has always loved the works of Shakespeare, is encouraged by her Literature Lecturer, Professor Swain, to analysis her own families’ truths and the reality she finds challenges everything she believed was the truth. William Shakespeare, who features throughout the play as a character seeking to defend the reputation of his works while trying to make sense of the modern world.
