Join us upstairs at Testing Grounds where we are currently artists in residence.The residency is for an ongoing archiving project that is all about cataloguing and creating an accessible database of a large ever growing small press collection. The collection resonates from local independent comic book publishing and artists books with titles dating back as far as 1982. Each of these titles is a human work. Each of these humans is sharing a piece of their life.
We have just reached the 2000th entry into the database and are opening the doors for you to come and test it out with us.
You will be welcomed into the space, shown the reading room where you can search through the interface, find some titles, be helped to locate them IRL and then sit and enjoy! There will also be a display of some of our current favourite finds and some information about the project so far.
Each session is for 1-4 people. Bookings are free.
