Set at the height of the roaring 20s and prohibition, Gangster warfare bursts onto the stage in this off beat musical comedy. A new weapon has hit the streets – the Splurge Gun – held by the undesirable Dandy Dan and his Hoods. Their rival is the illegitimate businessman Fat Sam Stacetto, owner and operator of the liveliest Speakeasy in all Manhattan.
To win this war, Fat Sam enlists Bugsy Malone, former boxer and all-round smooth-talking good guy. Things take a turn when Bugsy is distracted by the sweet talking, Hollywood bound Blousey Brown.
