Presenter biography:
Jacqueline (Jakki) Hardman is the current Learning Extension Coordinator at MacKillop Catholic College, where she also teaches Japanese. She is concurrently researching in the area of gifted education with UNSW as part fulfillment of a doctorate in education. Once a long term resident of Japan, Jakki passed N1 of the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) and completed her undergraduate degree at Tohoku University, Sendai. After graduating, Jakki opened an English language school in Japan and ran a nationwide project collecting English language books for a prefectural library. Jakki is a past president of JATNET (Japanese Language Teachers Network of Tasmania) and current committee member of TAG (Tasmanian Association for the Gifted).
