2023 Super Box Hill Rookies – July

Special Fundraiser Rookies tournament for the Box Hill and Ballarat Club Members who will represent Australia in the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad in Eindhoven, Netherlands. All entry Fees will be donated to the 4 club members: Cheng Chao Xin, Chloe Fan, Randheer Thogata (BHCC) and Om O’Carroll (Ballarat)

13 minutes + 2 second increment from move 1

Condition of Entry:

• If you are not well, do not come but immediately contact the club via the club mobile phone. If you have registered but unable to play on the day, contact the club immediately.

Entry Fee (2023 Membership now due)

$30  for Box Hill and Canterbury Junior members

$35  for non members

Free for titled members (WGM,GM, WIM, IM)

Prizes

Junior Prize:

First $100 plus Rookies Cup trophy. Highest placed girl $50 plus Queen’s Cup trophy

Trophies for 1st in a minimum of 4 ratings groups. Trophies for equal place getters decided on count back. Medallions for those missing the trophy in the count back

Adult Prize:

First $100. $5 of each senior entry to go to the prize fund.
