One of India’s most celebrated sitar players Pandit Purbayan Chatterjee is joined by Australia’s tabla virtuoso Jay Dabgar on a National tour presenting a series of exciting concerts featuring the instrument that best captures the essence of Indian traditional music.Experience astounding musical virtuosity with unusual energy, skill and dynamic improvisation. Purbayan Chaterjee presents the sitar in all its shades and textures both melodic, playful, wistful and spiritual. The music ranges from sublimely meditational through to heart-racing energy and excitement.
