With the FIBA Men’s World Cup tipping off in late August we are pleased to have secured Mitch McCarron as a guest speaker. Fresh off representing Australia at the 3x3 World Cup in France and representing the Boomers throughout the World Cup Qualifying stages, Mitch will be in a perfect position to share his thoughts on whether the Boomers can build upon their Olympic bronze medal success over the two week tournament being played across the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.Brett Maher needs no introduction to the South Australian Basketball Community, the Adelaide 36ers Legend played in four Olympic Games as a Boomer. His over 100 games for the Australian senior men's team including captaincy in the 2001 Goodwill games makes him the ideal speaker to discuss what it means to represent Australia, what the Boomers culture is all about.
These lunches are always a great opportunity to catch up with the basketball community whilst supporting South Australia’s basketball youth.
