Trauma-informed practice is a strengths-based approach grounded in an understanding of, and a responsiveness to the impact of trauma that emphasises physical, psychological, and emotional safety for both providers and survivors.

While the training is aimed at young people in Youth Justice system, you will gain:
· a basic understanding of the impacts of trauma on brain development and behaviour;
· an understanding of trauma-informed practices and the ability to apply I to your work or role;
· a familiarity with different group strategies that will assist routines an behaviour management
