Storyline Gatherings

Storyline Gatherings give you the opportunity to tell your life story to others in a supportive, inclusive and safe space. Part of the introductory session is aimed at improving listening and communicating skills. Over the five sessions this will assist each participant in developing their own life story with the view to writing it down.
Dates: February 21, March 6, March 20, April 3, April 17.
Times: All sessions start 7pm, end 8.30pm.
Booking is essential. It is only necessary to book for the first session (21st February). This will give you admission to all five sessions. The conveners will offer copy editing and proofreading. No fee is being charged but it's suggested participants make a one-off donation to Foodbank at the time of booking. Recommended amounts are $20, $40, $60 (or 0 for people who cannot afford it).

Conveynors' biographical notes:
Ros Lawrie had a career in publishing before studying naturopathy and eventually opening her own practice. She has held stress management courses for the public and for people in the health sector where the partiicipants' communication skills were the main focus.
Ronit Lentin was born in Palestine, grew up in Israel and lived fifty plus years in Ireland. She is a retired Associate Professor of Sociology (Trinity College Dublin). She has conducted many life story interviews and published fiction and non-fiction about her own and other people's life experiences.
