You will learn how to effectively use genograms with perinatal clients to identify intergenerational trauma and attachment patterns.
Trauma research has provided an incredible amount of data on how much of our current suffering in life is transferred epigenetically through the generations. The way we currently perceive the world and our experiences are filtered through the ‘lens’ of the generations that came before us at a biological, psychological, emotional and social level.
This webinar is designed to be practical, with lots of examples of genogram questions that you can use in your practice. You will be guided step by step through a perinatal case study to demonstrate how a genogram can not only inform your case formulation but your therapy, too.

- How to construct a genogram

About the presenter
Lauren Keegan is a perinatal psychologist with extensive experience in perinatal and infant mental health. She has worked with perinatal clients and their families for more than a decade and uses genograms as a way to support clients to understand their current struggles in the context of their history.
