Eco Dying - Term 4 (SOLD OUT)
Textile artist, Pinal Maniar will lead this project based intensive course over six weeks. In the first four weeks, participants will learn the basic principles and processes of natural dying by producing a series of samples exploring the techniques of eco printing, Itajime (folded) and stitched shibori. In the final two weeks, using the samples produced, participants will create a textile collage to create a tablecloth or other decorative or functional textile piece. Assembly will be by means of hand stitching, embroidery and applique. This course will suit textile enthusiasts, beginners or those wishing to expand on their skills.
