Regional Council CEO Lunch - Regional Housing Strategies

About
Sunshine Coast is one of Queensland’s fastest growing regions in terms of population growth, outpacing the State average and Greater Brisbane.
Housing availability and affordability is a big issue facing this region that if not addressed has the potential to derail the growth plans of many of our local businesses as well as the regional economy.
Both the Sunshine Coast and Noosa councils have recently released housing strategies and this lunch is a chance to hear from the regional councils’ Chief Executives on how their housing strategies will address housing availability and affordability as well as accommodation shortage for renters, tourists and our homeless people.
She will then dive in to a panel conversation with both Emma and Larry stimulating a frank discussion around housing, planning schemes and the recently released Draft SEQ Regional Plan 2023 Update – and test how these strategies and instruments will work together for the benefit of the Sunshine Coast Region.
