ZZRosie Westbrook & John Phillips

About
Rosie Westbrook has been the go-to bass player to the stars but is also a brilliant solo guitarist and composer of soundscapes and soundtracks for film and television. She is renowned for creating music that is haunting, spacious and inherently cinematic.Rosie’s third solo album, “Always the Sea”, is a collection of ethereal, hypnotic soundscapes created from a sound palette plucked and bowed on her trademark double bass and ringing guitars.
John Phillips is renowned for his incandescent guitar sounds in the legendary Australian band Not Drowning, Waving, as well as his work for screen.
Westbrook and Phillips are sonic architects of a collaboration that will see the release of an EP early in 2024; guitars and the beautiful bowed double bass combined to create instrumental soundscapes that are fragile and delicate one moment, wild waves of sound the next.
This performance will feature “Always the Sea” & their forthcoming EP.
