Textile drop-off day 2023
About
Drop off your ‘end-of-life’ textiles including clothing, bed linen, towels and tablecloths for free at the upcoming Textile drop-off day.This event will be held in the carpark of the IYU Recreation Reserve, Pakenham at 168 Henry Rd, Pakenham and is for Cardinia residents only.
Only household quantities will be accepted. This event is not for businesses or large quantities.
If collection limits are met, this event may end before the advertised finish time.
Staff reserve the right to enforce drop-off limits on the day so
Drive in the main entrance of the reserve and follow signage and directions of staff.
ACCEPTED ITEMS:
*This event is for clothing and items that are not suitable for donation*
- Clothing (pants, dresses, tops, shorts, socks, singlets etc.)
- Crop tops, bras without an underwire
- Bed linen, sheets, pillowcases and towels (no doonas or pillows)
NOT ACCEPTED:
- Underwear
- Shoes
IMPORTANT:
- All textiles and clothing must be CLEAN AND DRY. Soiled or wet clothing can cause mould and other issues during the recycling process and will not be accepted for recycling.
- Unacceptable items will need to be taken home with you and placed in your kerbside rubbish bin. Staff will not be able to dispose of additional items at this event.
