Develop and print your own etching in this one day workshop. Create images with a brush (sugarlift) and add tone with aquatint. These etching techniques will be perfect if you enjoy painting, creating free flowing drawings or abstract designs. Suitable for beginners and those with some printmaking experience.
The one day workshop will cover:
- Preparation of a copper plate
- The sugarlift technique: painting on the plate
- Etching in an acid bath
- Adding tone to the image
- Printing on a printmaking press
We finish on Saturday with an informal debrief and chat hour (4-5pm), about all things art, (weather permitting in the garden).
Bring your own lunch on Saturday. Tea, coffee and snacks provided.
Please note: toilet is only accessible via stairs.
