Praise and Lamentations: A Concert of Sacred Choral Music
About
Across the two millennia of Christian history, Christian composers have written choral works to express the two fundamental modes of relating to God: praise that God is good, and lamentation that we are separated from Him. In this concert, parish choirs from around Melbourne present some of the best of these works, spanning the middle ages to the present day.Entry to the concert is by donation on the night. Following the concert, there will be an optional wine and cheese reception. Entry to the reception is $10 (children enter free).
