Love Letters

Love Letters, a play by A. R. Gurney was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play centres on two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III who correspond from very young children for nearly 50 years.
They read letters in which they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments and the victories and defeats that occur in their lives.
Many well known actors, including Kathleen Turner, Julie Harris, William Hurt, Marsha Mason, Christopher Reeve,
Lynn Redgrave, Stockard Channing, Robert Vaughn and George Segal have taken part in the play. It has frequently featured different casts in the same run. The Guild is featuring five different casts in our five-week run.
