Role of Council Information Session - In Person

The Role of Council Information session is designed for prospective candidates, and residents who are intending to support a candidate, with an overview on:

• the wide range of functions and services Council performs; and
• the resources required for the 2024 local government elections.

The content will include:

- an overview of the City of Casey,
- an overview of Local Government,
- an overview of the different services Council delivers
- facilitated discussion on the outcomes model and the links to the Council services,
- Standing for Council,
- what to expect as a Councillor and or Mayor
- social media,
- key governance requirements,
- final discussions/questions
