Feast (A Night at the Theatre) @IFMaitland

About
We humbly request the pleasure of your company for a night at the Theatre! Coming up at Sun Street Studios on Friday 27th October at 8pm for IF Maitland Indie Festival & Art Fest, Feast is an evening of short plays written by artist Helen Hopcroft.
Feast stars an incredible constellation of the Hunter Valley's finest thespians: Lou Chapman, Brooke King, and Tony Jozef, with MC Christina Robberds possessed by her new alter ego, Ms Henrietta Prosser.
Just like a Choose Your Own Adventure book, the audience will determine which stories we perform. You will have to choose between six delectable tales! We have stories about sea monsters, murderers, crazy ladies, veteran actresses, clowns, jazz musicians and cleaners.
Come join the Feast! A Feast of Stories...
The Rise and Fall of the Fairy Queen
The Rise and Fall of the Fairy Queen is a surprisingly funny new play about frustrated desire. Fairy Queen tells the story of an older actress who desperately wants to be the star of her own show but finds herself thwarted by her elderly mother. Fairy Queen was specially written for talented comedic actors Lou Chapman and Brooke King and directed by Tony Jozef.
Feast
Feast tells the story of three women – a courtesan, cleaner and an acrobat – who decide to get drunk and tell stories after a feast in Ancient Athens. It’s the middle of the night, and they’re in a luxurious dining room littered with pitchers of wine, half-eaten food, spilled drinks. After sharing some leftover wine, the courtesan suggests that the women have their own symposium. But what do you talk about when your entire life is spent serving other people? Feast stars Brooke King, Rahkel Bose and Helen Hopcroft and is directed by Tony Jozef.
Cases
A well-dressed man places three old suitcases on stage and tells the audience that each one contains a story: which one do they want him to open? So begins Cases, a virtuoso storytelling performance that weaves together ideas about truth, desire and authenticity with some smokin’ live music. Starring multi-instrumentalist and actor Tony Jozef and directed by Helen Hopcroft, each of the stories is narrated by a remarkable character from three very different worlds.
