The Role of Council Information session is designed for prospective candidates, and residents who are intending to support a candidate, with an overview on:
• the wide range of functions and services Council performs; and
• the resources required for the 2024 local government elections.
The content will include:
- an overview of the City of Casey,
- facilitated discussion on the services Council delivers,
- Standing for Council,
- social media,
- key governance requirements,
- overarching governance principles,
- climate change and sustainability,
- engagement with traditional owners and gender equity
- final discussions/questions
