Chaim Bill Meyer: In His Own Words
Our library’s Presentation Room is enhanced by five wonderful paintings created by renowned Australian artist Chaim Bill Meyer.
Join us for a special cocktail event in the library where the artist will discuss these important works of art as well as his impressive art career.
Rabbi Dr Shimon Cowen will also be speaking on his insightful book about the Art of Chaim Bill Meyer, and will discuss the unique combination of Art and Judaism.
ABOUT CHAIM BILL MEYER:
Bill Meyer was born in Australia in 1942. He studied at Melbourne University, the National Gallery Art School, and has produced an enormous number of works, over decades.
Featured in galleries around the world, including at the Tate in London, Meyer’s work is internationally recognised.
Having also studied and researched at YIVO in New York City, much of his work has been conceptually underpinned by his faith and Jewish identity.
