Let's Masak-Masak
About
Don't know how to cook Peranakan food? Want to learn how to cook authentic Peranakan dishes?Join us for NextGen's first-ever masak-masak (cooking) session at our next gathering. We will have PAA (Melb) elder Aunty Anita Wee coming to show us how to cook Ayam Pongteh (chicken stew), and Nyonya Allison Pereira to show us how to make Telur Cincalok (egg with fermented shrimp) and Sambal Belachan (chilli with shrimp paste).
Everyone will have a chance to participate in making the dishes, including the kids (not the chilli lah). Please bring something to share for afternoon tea, when we will taste the food we learned to make.
