About

Rendez-vous is a cross-continent collaboration between Sydney’s The Marais Project – widely acknowledged experts in French music - and upcoming Perth-based ensemble, HIP Company (https://www.hip.company/). Together, the two ensembles bring a new energy and a fresh eye to the French baroque.

Rendez-vous features music for two sopranos, two viola da gambas, violins and theorbo by Couperin, Marais, Boutellier, the enigmatic Sainte-Colombe, and the composer with the most wonderful name ever, Michel Pignolet de Montéclair!
