Course at a Glance

This 5 part simulation course is specifically designed to equip Critical Care HMOs with a structured approach to the initial assessment and management of acutely unwell patients.. 
 

Course Topics

The course incorporates several interactive methods to generate discussion about the initial assessment and management of acutely unwell patients, and to highlight the important principles of effective teamwork skills that are known to enhance patient safety.

It includes the use of realistic clinical simulation scenarios, procedural workshops and Anaesthesia led airway teaching at each session to assist clinicians with improved confidence and competence when managing acutely unwell patients. 

This course is eligible for Education Leave subject to approval by Monash Doctors Workforce.

Course Timings

The course commences at 8.00am and concludes at 12.00pm. To allow the course to run to time, registrants are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the course start time.
