Junior Starter Classes - Term 1, 2024
Who: Pre-kindy 4 - 5 Year Olds.
Course content: Students are exposed to a wide variety of musical activities and develop an understanding of aural, visual and practical elements of music. The main areas of study are Listening, Singing, Music appreciation, Rhythm training, Rhythm reading, Keyboard playing and an introduction to pitch notation. Junior Starter is fun and is excellent preparation for the subsequent AMS Junior courses.
Course duration: Classes are 1 hour each week and enrolment is for 1 term.
What next: Junior Starter leads directly into AMS Junior Courses where we further develop the ability to play, read and appreciate music. This course will give you priority entry to the next course.
Note: There is a $50 cancellation fee for all courses. Sibling discounts are available for those that have a sibling currently enrolled at AMS. Call the AMS office to receive a discount code.
