This workshop is designed for Primary and Secondary Teachers in mainstream, education support and learning support roles. It will provide information on:
• Ideas and suggestions for developing a more inclusive culture in classes
• Building disability knowledge and awareness
• Designing effective and flexible learning plans and lessons
• Building positive relationships
• Working effectively with Education Assistants in the classroom
• Building confidence for students to self-advocate
• Practical inclusive strategies and ideas for lessons
You will also have the opportunity to hear the schooling experience of a young person living with disability
The workshop will be tailored to the group's needs and will be interactive throughout, with opportunities to share and learn from each other and the presenters.
